FWAHHH Sooooting Star!!

i have never seen so many fireworks in a month before... august is fireworks month it seems..

it started on the 5th of august, saturday, chris and i was running some errands in MS area that afternoon, and at about 8plus, while we were going back to the car, we saw MANY MANY ppl congregating just outside the MS GV cinema.. then we realised the reason they were CAMPING (no joke.. got mats and drinks and all...) there was cos at 9pm there was gonna be some fireworks display (courtesy of Fireworks festival.. anyway we waited and watched our FIRST fireworks together (all together now!.. Awwwwww) through the huge trees in front of MS.

the second time was on the 8th of Aug, after dinner at home, we decided to bring mum anbd jane to go watch fireworks.. at 845pm, i PIA all the way down to esplanade (through the horrendous JAM, mind you) i squeezed my way to fullerton hotel and stopped my car in the middle of the road just when the fireworks started.. GO ME!

THEN on the 9th of august.. we decided to do something FUN, so i called Ben and Dans and headed down to tanjung rhu for PICNIC!! so fun hor.. anyways, there was so many TP around the area and i circled for 45mins looking for a parking space. look.. i tried to illegal park (wtf.. eveyrone was illegally parking what.. but super suay me had to be caught by tp.) heres how it went..

(joan doesnt an illegal U-turn on a 2 way street, and parrellel parks in front of a row of cars)
(TP on BIG BIG bike with shiny raybans, glides up beside me and signals for me to wind down the window)

TP: Mdm, you cannot park here
Joan: Oh really? (shows innocent face) then what about those cars behind me? (pouts)
TP: we will be towing them away later, mdm
Joan: you sure? (longer pout)
TP: yes, mdm.
Joan: ok then.. thank you (give a honey-glazed smile)

I BET THAT IDIOT DID NOT CLAMP THEM LOH.

K. then i drove up to meyer rd, parked there and walked to kampung kayu road (the longkang opp laselle). there i was greeted by a sea of RED and the overpowering smell of CURRY.. wah so many tents.. i wonder how many dayds those families have camped there.

we found a nice spot just in front of the national stadium and started to bake in the evening sun.

after baking for 2 hours we got bored...

Then it all started at about 630..

Doesnt it make your heart swell? *sing* WE ARE SING-GA-PORE.. SING-GAHHH-PORH-REEE-AANNNNSSSSS.....


its at this time that there are was a BIg group of ...er... foreign workers that came and occupied our viewing space :(.. well its national day.. racial harmony hor..
seee..



Finally after 4 hours of waiting... we saw 2 mins of fireworks... :/
